Mother's Day Card

My mother is the most wonderful mother in the whole world. She's as pretty as I like. She is 2 and 1 old, and she's 69 - 8 - 7 tall. Her favorite food is salad. In the good old days, when my mom was little, she used to eat little things. I think my mom is funny when she plays toys with me. I like it best when my mom play, "Yes, you can!" with me. I wouldn't trade my mom for rolling a ball!

Happy Mother's Day

Love,
Beckett

Move It Jagger

Beckett loves the "I've Got the Moves Like Jagger" Song. Loves it. Every time it comes on the radio he says, "It's the Move It song. I love this song."

At the playground there is a steering wheel. Beckett pretends he is driving a car to the playground and the "Move It Jagger" song is playing on the radio. It's pretty funny to hear him sing "I got the moves like Jagger. I got the moves like Jagger."

The Potty

B: Dad. I will you use the potty. And you can wipe my bum. That is your job.

B: When your body tells you to go potty you go potty. When your body does not tell you to go potty you still play.

B: Look at that huge pine cone.

B: I love potty songs.

B insists that underwear is for his birthday.

B Says

At the barbershop with Nate
B: "Oh. You guys are two guys."
One of the guys: "And you are one guy."

Upon returning from my exile in the basement, I can hear that Felix is crying upstairs in his room with Caitlin:
"Mom, Mom I am so glad you are here because Felix needs you. FELIX, FELIX Mommy is here. ... I will go get Felix."
He runs upstairs to get his brother. So sweet.

Upon dropping Caitlin off at home:
"Caitlin thanks for coming to my home."

We are in the car taking Caitlin back to her house, and we see Max on his bike.
B: Oh Max's bike have training wheels like mines.
Me: Your bike?
B: My bike is at the tent store. (REI)

Me: Beckett, we need to go pick up Caitlin.
B: I not want to pick up Caitlin.
Me: Why not?
B: Because I need you.

Stuff B Says

"Felix is crying. He have crying things coming out of his eyes."

"No mommy. You tell me." Said whenever he doesn't want to make a decision or answer a question.

"Daddy can take care of me." or "Daddy takes care of me."

Beckett and Daddy have started telling really elaborate train stories in bed at night. Beckett is the engineer, Mommy is the conductor, Daddy is the fireman or the brakeman. Felix is in the caboose. Beckett does more everything. He won't let Daddy apply the brakes. Felix a boy wonder and fixes the train, builds the tunnels, and fixes the tracks. The passengers on Beckett railway aren't very happy. Stations are often passed by and sometimes the passengers get kicked out of the train.

One result of the train stories is that Beckett is really eager to go to bed. He starts asking if Daddy is coming home very early in the day, like on the way home from preschool. One day, the moment that daddy got home, Beckett told him he was ready to go to bed.

"Felix, you the cutest baby." "What's the matter Felix?"

Listening to the radio in the car: "Is this the move-it song?" (I've Got the Moves Like Jagger was playing) or "Oh, I like this song" (said to all sorts of random songs.)

Sticky

B (laughing): Felix's hands are sticky now.
Me: Well, stop letting him touch your sucker.
B: But he wants to touch my sucker.
Don't I know it.

Warm Pants

B: "Momma, you wash my warm pants? Thanks for washing my warm pants, Momma."

Pretend Phone Calls

Beckett on a pretend call on a toy phone:
"Hi Daddy. You're driving in the car? ... You're at work already? ... I'm at home. ... Playing patty cake. ... Mark it with a D and put it in the oven for Daddy and me. ... Okay. Thanks for talking to me. Talk to you later. Bye."
